每次經過附近，都攝於海員俱樂部很強魔力，這建築莫名地牽扣我。因為他的硬朗的長形方塊線條形態，那濃郁的靛藍；更因為他的「海員」「俱樂部」兩個身份，跟香港這城市的性向步伐很不協調。看到這建築（1967年開幕），心內馬上聯想到大衛連治的作品“藍絲絨”。
anytime walking around the neighborhood, the marina club seems to be casting a special spell on me. i simply found this architecture magical in a mysterious way. imageries and soundtrack from works by david lynch immediately ring in my brain. it probably is the lines and shapes of the architecture, also the special marine navy blue; then the nostalgic connection (opened 1967) and big contrast of “marine” a slow and free-will industry to this metropolis.
前數天偶訪尖沙嘴，於是特意走近海員俱樂部。給我新發現，建築上漂亮的細節 – 外牆由上而下排列名字，每個字母都是立體凹凸有致的。
few days back, happen to visit tsim sha tsui, my feet just led me to the building. a surprise i was rewarded! the bold display of the name of the building carries practical and aesthetic value. taking closer look, each of the letters is living and breathing. how wonderful.
