永康街唐樓 walk-ups on wing hong street

this is one old stretch in cheung sha wan. it was the first time i came around this side on kowloon peninsula. the view is typical tang lau old hood. low-rise old buildings with street level space occupied by garage and car repairing business.

yet this particular scene is quickly diminishing in this city. either the old settlement is torn down for redevelopment or hip and hype business owners are buying out these nice spaces and turn them to ‘cool’ eateries and funky shops.

so treasure these scenes. note that the view of the buildings with back staircase was taken from the wing hong street sitting garden. the garden is another fun place to be. a garden with several levels.
