2016.10.1 | 灣仔春園街 2 – 4 spring garden lane
據說這店和霓虹的歷史最少追溯至上世紀 70 年代。
the name of spring garden lane appeared in hong kong history very early. it used to be the home street then office base of the ‘top class’ foreigners in the early colonial days. this stretch then evolved to be an early red-light district. in the 1970s three mahjong houses based here. now tai kam lung, meaning big gold dragon, is the glorious living evident of this piece of history.
this bold and beautiful neon light is possibly almost 50 years old. thriving and magnificent; not only because of the fire-blowing dragon and the almighty cloud pieces, but also the neon light is hosting a variety of the colours: pink, green, yellow, red, blue and white.
