2016.2.10 丙申年初三 | 烏溪沙海灘 wu kai sha beach
未意料到農曆年期間吳伯依然不遺餘力堆整香港人無人不識的他的傑作 － 心型石。
on the third day of the chinese new year, went out to explore an unfamiliar place. took the train all the way to ma on shan.
same as other ‘new’ communities developed together with the train system. the moment you leave the train station, you are surrounded by building blocks and shopping malls.
found the way to ma on shan park, finally, able to breathe some open air. the green and space in the park is really nice. then things get better, even though it is really man-made, all white bright cement path, but the wide, wide sea body and mountains ahead of the ma on shan promenade are irreplaceable. out there is sha tin hoi, tolo channel and pat sin leng, and you can see also the big white kwun yam at tze shan temple at ting kau.
follow the promenade to the right (or north-east), wu kai sha beach is not far away.
wu kai sha beach has become one of the favorite seafront destinations to hongkongers in recent years. uncle ng is one of the main contributors. he does not live around. but few years back he went to this beach and somehow started piling up stones around this area. no sooner people started looking for the heart-shaped stone pile on this beach. he still come here everyday to do the same thing because tides wash away his work.
i didn’t expect seeing him during chinese new year but here he is.
