every time i pass by this footbridge, the remark “ugly” never fail to pop up in my head. even after all these years. i found the space of this piece of sky being robbed by this big chunk of circle; the business of the bridge design is choking; the colours suggested a moldy feeling and i can almost smell it. but i have to admit there is a sense of connection as well. that’s because every time when i attended a demonstration/march starting from victoria park, this is a must bottleneck spot. so many times and we spent underneath it, minutes and even hour.
i took this picture, the highlight has to be this ‘landmark’. however if i did not see another two things this photo probably won’t be born. after all this footbridge is really ugly! for one, of course, is the space invader artwork.
then i also have to bring up the noodle shot/ad. somehow the bridge, the graffiti and the noodle shop ad all have their distinctive colours and looks, and yet i found them quite complementing each other.
thus, allow me to introduce this odd yet blending combination of street furniture, at the very own causeway bay.
