不知為何，這一年在市區見少了爆杖花。舊日過年前後在橫街住家、學校或公園都比較多爆杖花襯年開放。

昨日路經堅巷喜遇故知。

flame vine is more commonly known as firecracker vine here. its flowering season coincidentally happens around spring. i used to see them more in the city in the past climbing along back alleys, schools and parks. not sure if it is too invasive that people plant lesser of them.

that’s why i jumped in joy when bumping to these beauties yesterday. the blooms simply fill the air with colours and celebration.
