尖沙嘴唐樓 a walk-up building at tsim sha tsui

2013.3.12 | 尖沙嘴加連威老道26號 no. 26 granville road, tsim shat sui

granville rd 26

been researching online but couldn’t trace the history or story of this building – the greyish one in the centre. it may seem just another walk-up along granville road, typically of three to four storeys and with two sides along the axis symmetrical.

what it stands out is the details in the window design: the simple rectangular big windows, but adding to both sides of them are two semi-circular closed windows with a decorating pillar each. The colour of the pillars goes with the colour of the axis. a lovely pop-arty touch.

      1. Thanks!. HK is indeed a very profound in mixed cultures. I’ve been there several times and found it’s quite interesting in some ways related to San Fran where i lived for years. Keep updated the posts!
