30.12.2010 | hong kong zoological and botanic gardens  動植物公園|

sweet gum is a native tree to hong kong. its chinese name carries the world maple. even though they are not belonging to the same family scientifically, sweet gum does bear a characteristic of maple, its leaves will turn to multiple colours in autumn and winter.

few weeks ago during a visit to the botanic garden, i was spellbound by the variety of colour the majestic sweet gums put on themselves.

winter is definitely colourful in hong kong. 香港的冬天絕不灰濛濛。
