煲仔飯還在透火,臘味尚沒蒸噴迷暈香,水果店、老區的店商就耕耘果皮陣。一箱一箱的柑剝成串串綠黃香皮,掛在乾爽秋日大氣中,蒸發蘊釀,待成大器陳皮。every year around autumn and early winter, these ‘street ornaments’ quietly yet extravagantly show their presence. you will see boxes and boxes of tangerine ‘meat’ chucked away by fruit stall owners. what being saved and well treated are the peels. tangerines skins are carefully lined in rows or rings and put under the dry and hopefully sunny autumn wind to dehydrate. good old tangerine peel can easily cost hundreds of dollar per tael for their rich and unique flavour and medical value (good for throat)
